My Response to Michael Jacksons tragic death

The Michael Jackson story i read was written by Racialicious. The story was about a girl who grew up listening to Michael Jackson every since he became famous, and she was talking about her memories she had in school listening to Michael Jackson. For example she said "I remember when someone brought the thriller Video to school and their was a 'viewing' before 1st period in the auditorium....was one of the few times i wanted to get to school early." She also gave a little background on Michael telling us how he bleached his skin, and about his surgeries he had. She had also said that it's sad he's gone he was a music icon who inspired everyone. Then she mentioned how other people have different opinions about Michael, about how he was crazy, and a pedifile, and that it doesn't matter that he's dead, etc. She also mentioned how she worked at places Michael had performed at and she would go and be screaming with every body else saying MIIIICCCHAELL! MIIIIICCCHHHHAEEEELL!. She had also mentioned that when she went to his performances or watched him on tv she noticed that "When Michael preformed he paused and made us wait for him. sometimes he would simply stop, as if he were overcome with emotion and the crowd {including me} ROARED in response."
I think the writers story was talking about race, memories she has had, judgment, and Michael Jackson's background. To me the message this writer is trying to get through to people is that it does not matter about all of the bad that Michael has done he has done plenty of good things too. So we need to focus on all the good things he did and realize that he is the king of pop still even though he is not with us anymore we still should show the man respect that he is do for being a music icon. Even though he made some bad choices he still made good music, and that's what you should remember him for.
I agree with this writer because i really liked Michael Jackson and to me he is and will forever be apart of everybody's hearts, and a music icon to us. plus i go through the same stuff he did i do my best in everything and i am even nice to people who are not nice to me and i still get judged because of the way i look and how short i am, but yet i do all these good things and don't get any recognition for it. But i am not a music icon Michael Jackson is and he deserves all of our respect.

This i believe/ you have to give respect to get it

Respect is not all about power, to me it means equality if you want someone to respect you u have to respect them whether their your age or younger, and you really should respect any adult that tells you to do something. Because i used to be disrespectful to adults and it got me no where but in trouble with them and on the streets because i didn't take their advice and i did what i wanted. And til this day i regret it because my life would be a whole lot better if i just had taken their advice. But adults should show kids especially teenagers respect too. Because we go through just as much as adults do.

For example we have to go to school and then do sports, or work, plus we have a lot of homework sometimes especially if its exams week. then at school we have people talking about us or hating, then rumors, then somewhere in our busy schedule we have to try and find time for our boyfriends or girlfriends, and friends. so we have heavy stuff on our plates too. On top of that we have chores, and then we have to fight to graduate high school and go on to college, and think about what were going to do for the rest of our lives without our parents.

To me, giving respect to people means to be nice to other people. On my very first day working at McDonald's I respected my bosses and other co workers, and I was new so I had a little trouble with orders. I had messed up about three orders that day, But all of my bosses and co workers even my customers respected me. Because I didn’t give up and act all snotty to my customers just because I messed up three orders. So what I did was asked Crystal my trainer, nicely to help me please; eventually I started getting the hang of things and I didn’t mess up anymore orders that day. I was surprised because I thought because I was new and people didn’t know me they were going to treat me like crap. But they didn’t and it was all because I gave them respect, so they gave me respect back.

So if your older than someone don't think you can run them and tell them what to do and their going to listen and respect you, because in order for them to respect you and follow your orders you need to respect them first no matter what their age.

You can succeed as long as you believe in yourself

people put people down and say that they suck or they can't do anything because of their height, weight, skin color, race, or how they look physically. But i think they're wrong because no matter how different you are from someone else you can do anything to succeed in life as long as you believe in yourself and you don't need anybody, but your parents because they are the ones who are loyal to you and who believe in you and will be their every step of the way to support you. The other people who are judging you are haters just trying to hold you back from your dreams and goals in life. So i don't pay any attention when people say i can't do stuff because i am short, black, and a girl because to me girls can do anything boys can do and maybe even better. Plus know that i am smart, educated, and athletic so when people say i won't make it in life i just look at them and i say to myself watch me make it to the top.
